Ag Day 2003 Houston Independent School District elementary students got a taste of agriculture during the the Ag Day held in conjunction with the Houston ISD Show and Sale. Harris County Farm Bureau helped sponsor the event.

| The 2nd Annual Harris County "Day on the Farm" was held April 24, 2001 at the Harris County Farm & Ranch Club. More than 250 children from the Houston area, along with many parents, came to enjoy this day of learning about agriculture. The event was co-sponsored by the Harris County Extension Service. Presenters included: Dee Cannon, Texas Emu Association; Ashley Garza, Texas Quarter Horse Association and West Houston 4-H (horses); Gulf Coast Cattle Women (cattle); Harris County Water & Soil Conservation Board (water and soil science); Glen Avert of the Fort Bend County Extension Service (cotton exhibit); Texas Forest Service; County President G.A. Chudleigh (bi-products); Harris County Extension Service (4-H); and William Kalbow (vegetables and plants). | ||||||||||||||||
