"Telling agriculture's story" is the mission, and the passion, of the Texas Farm Bureau Speakers Team. The team is a group of Texas farmers and ranchers who have taken on the task of spreading the word about Texas' second largest industry.

Each team member has a wealth of personal experience from working on his or her own farm or ranch. Though fewer Americans live and work on farms today, agriculture still touches virtually every aspect of American lives–especially in Texas. One out of every five Texans works in some form of agriculture. In addition to farmers and ranchers, jobs are found in processing, marketing and transporting agricultural products.

The job of the TFB Speakers Team is to promote a deeper understanding of farm life and farm issues and to foster cooperation between urban and rural Texans.

From bandages and latex gloves to toothpaste and crayons, agricultural commodities contribute much more than the food found in grocery stores. In fact, agriculture is the second largest industry in Texas and contributes $64 billion per year to the state's economic activity.
